How to perform a hard reset on your device.
If you're having issues with your camera's general connectivity, GPS connectivity, or LED lighting pattern, a hard reset is typically the first line of defense in getting your device back up and running. Fortunately, this process is quite simple and can be completed independently as needed to determine the next best steps to get you back online. Follow to steps below to perform a hard reset on your device.
Hard reset steps
- Begin by turning on the vehicle ignition to power on the camera
- Locate the power cable that connects directly to the connected camera's plug
- Unplug the camera, and wait for the LED light sequence to go dark.
- Once the camera has powered down, proceed to reconnect the power cable to your device
- Wait for LED lights to power on and proceed to the correct LED sequence.
- Some devices have a reset button, as shown below, that will disconnect the power to the device and reboot automatically.
