The SureCam secondary camera is a ball-shaped camera and is most often used in-cab for a
view of the driver or at the back of the vehicle for a rearview perspective. It can be mounted anywhere in or around the cabin within 5 meters (or 16.4 ft) distance due to extension cord length.
The ideal mounting location for your secondary camera will vary by vehicle type and what footage you are hoping to record. We usually recommend placing the mount in an area that will allow for maximum visibility that will not obstruct the driver's view of the road.
Two different mounting methods are available for dual-facing secondary cameras: the windshield mount method and the screw mount method. These processes are outlined in more detail in our Dual-Facing Camera Mounting Guide to help you determine the best location to mount your camera.
