How to perform a hard reset on your device.
If you're having issues with your camera's general connectivity, GPS connectivity, or LED lighting pattern, a hard reset is typically the first line of defense in getting your device back up and running. Fortunately, this process is quite simple and can be completed independently as needed to determine the next best steps to get you back online. Follow to steps below to perform a hard reset on your device.
Hard reset steps: Forward-facing camera
- Begin by turning on the vehicle ignition to power on the camera
- Locate the 6 pin power cable that connects directly to the connected camera's plug
- Unplug the camera, then wait 1 hour for the camera's internal battery to power down. This will allow for a complete camera shut off
- After 5 minutes' time, proceed to reconnect the 6 pin cable to your device
- Wait for LED lights to power on and proceed to the correct LED sequence

Hard reset steps: Dual-facing camera
- Begin by turning on the vehicle ignition to power on the camera
- Locate the 6 pin power cable that connects directly to the connected camera's plug
- Unplug the camera, and wait for the LED light sequence to go dark. Dual cameras do not have internal batteries so you do not need to complete the 5 minute wait time for shut off
- Once the camera has powered down, proceed to reconnect the 6 pin cable to your device
- Wait for LED lights to power on and proceed to the correct LED sequence (Reference our LED light guide here for assistance)
